Homemade almond milk production!



The plenty of information  consumers have received over the recent years about animal milk has led them to seek for milk substitutes. One of these is almond milk, a beverage produced by raw almonds, which is a great source of calcium and contains many other important nutrients.



Homemade almond  milk is delicious, incredibly creamy, extremely nutritious, and far superior by any other similar commercial product. It is very easy to make it but because it cannot be stored as long as the commercial almond milk, it is recommended to prepare the particular quantity needed every time we need it. Almond milk is a wonderful drink alone but also in our coffee and  in recipes replacing milk. Making almond milk at home is a process that is easy, creative and why not, artistic. By following the steps below, we can make our own almond milk and the enjoyment of every sip of this delicious beverage will reward us.

• We make it in our kitchen with a cup of good quality almonds, raw, with their peel on and three cups of water.
• Soak the almonds for 8-10 hours in a bowl of water and after soaking, put them in the blender with 3 cups of water and any sweetener you like.
• Mix for approximately two minutes until the materials are homogenized.
• Strain the pulp and fill a glass bottle. That's it! The almond milk just prepared and we can store it  in the refrigerator for 3 days.

Almond milk is a nutritious plant milk with many health benefits. For centuries it has been used as an alternative to animal milk and is rich in calcium, a structural component of bones and teeth. It contains vitamins A, E and D as well as vitamins of B complex. It is low in fats and is the ideal choice for those who are on diet because of its low calorie content, 200 ml of almond  milk contain only 60 kcal. Almond milk is also a nutritional option for those who are lactose intolerant because it does not contain lactose.
